Artist Bio

                       Welcome to OfeliaUz/Mangosgallery   Ofelia Uz Gonzalez is a Cuban self-taught artist and has been painting professionally for over 35 years.  She creates beautiful American and Latin American influenced works of art that incorporate tradicional and unique painting styles and techniques.  Being a self-taught artist, her works are not constrained to a single category; yet each painting is easily identifiable as one her creations.  Ofelia's artwork includes: abstract, contemporary, land/seaescapes, figure and pencil drawings. Ofelia's artistic talents don't stop at painting - although that is her true passion.  In the past, she has produced exquisite works including commissioned mosaic tiling, wood-burning designs, and murals.  She often does volunteer work for ArtistHelpingChildren Organization painting murals for children's hospitals and other charitable organizations. Her paintings have been sold to private collectors and at major Art Festivals around the country.  Her works can be found in collections all over the United States, Latin America, Canda and throughout Europe.   As a tribute to her beloved mother, each of her paintings are signed with her mother's name O.Uz and signed with her full name, the title, and creation date on the reverse.  Every painting comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
